Answers to potential questions regarding the impending rebrand of CCOERA to the Colorado Retirement Association

Why is CCOERA changing its name?

Our original name, while illustrative of our strong commitment to Colorado counties, excluded special districts and municipalities, which have been a part of our legacy for more than 45 of our 51-year history. Increasing our penetration among Colorado special districts and municipalities will strengthen our position to offer better products and services to existing and future members. Also, we continually receive feedback that the CCOERA full name and acronym is confusing, cumbersome and hard to pronounce. Read more about our board's resolution to adopt the new name here.

When will the rebrand take effect?

It is anticipated that the association will officially launch the new brand later this summer.

What will change?

For employee participants, our goal is to minimize any impact to you. You will see our new name and logo appear on marketing communications you receive from us or your employer after we launch the new brand. We also are building a new website that will bring you more information related to your plan, in addition to being easier to navigate, mobile-friendly and faster. However, our existing website will remain accessible well into the foreseeable future after the new brand launches.
